Villoria Graphic Design is a small graphic design studio located in the north of Spain, in which the pasion for this discipline develops into different works which you can see a sample of the most representative ones in this page. Any graphic support is welcome into this house where the principal aim is to satisfy the client with our products, such as flyers, posters, editorial design, etc. as well as any branch that would like to come into this profesion, always assuming new challenges with a lot of strength and willing to work on each job to obtain a unique result. It was four years ago when by change I started to get into the world of graphic design. Little by little I have discovered the huge world that this discipline encloses and in which I was still just beginning. An exciting world from which my blank mind could take in up to the minimum detail. After finishing my degree in graphic publicity with straight A’s and without loosing the urge to learn, I started working in the design world in a publicity agency from which I would alter pass to a cinema magazine where I learnt all about the secrets of layouts, working with software such as Quark or Indesign which soon became my second hands. UIT small steps I advanced and improved my knowledge in the editorial world, layouts, image treatment, publicity management, pdf generation, relation with printing companies, etc. Asturias started closing up on me in a circle dominated by graphic arts. After a year and a half in a monthly magazine distributed in the whole country, I became part
of the layout design team of “La Nueva España”, where I am actually working. In this newspaper I have had the opportunity the new editorial management system Milllenium, in my case in the field of design, through a course given by Protec.
Simultaneously my job as a freelancer has been quite intense, starting by being in charge of the image of the corporate of the trade union’s accounts of the Principado of Asturias, , from the creation of their trade mark up to the artistc direction of all their graphic material.
I have also done as a freelancer different publications for the group “Marketing Editions and Solutions”, , doing different types of printed material., etc.
Always involved in the events having to do with the design world, I was selected during the last two years in the LAUS design awards celebrated in Barcelona.
Nowadays, and having reached the age of 22, a new satge starts for me with the updating of my webpage, in which I show some of my Works done during the last two years. Geetings to all and thanks for visiting my page.
Ricardo Villoria (Asturias, 1986), es titulado en Gráfica publicitaria por la Escuela de Arte de Oviedo, finalizando su proyecto fin de carrera con matrícula de honor. Tras su paso por una agencia de publicidad y una revista de cine, fue adentrándose en la complejidad del mundo editorial (maquetación, tratamiento de imágenes, gestión de publicidad, relación con imprentas…) y durante año y medio colaboró con una revista mensual de distribución nacional. A continuación se incorporó al equipo de diseño y maquetación de La Nueva España, diario líder en Asturias y en el que actualmente trabaja.
Desarrolla como freelance numerosos encargos para empresas públicas y privadas de la región con clientes como La Sindicatura de Cuentas del Principado de asturias, Ediciones y Soluciones de Márketing, Soma-Fia-Ugt, Gobierno del Principado de Asturias, Marta Ortiz Joyeros, Agrado, y un largo etc. de PYMES asturianas.
Galardonado en varios concursos de carteles y diseño, fue seleccionado en las dos últimas convocatorias de los premios Laus e incluido, junto a importantes diseñadores del país, en la exposición de mupis Motiva 06.
En 2010 es galardonado con el Premio Motiva Estudiantes.
